Property and Development
The first thing that investors note about Jávea is the lack of high-rise buildings. Local urban planning regulations restrict building height to five floors. The town has resisted the urge of concrete massification and therefore offers a more inclusive feel where all can celebrate its nature, coastal areas, trails and activities.
Jávea was among the first locations on the Costa Blanca to see a rebound in real estate prices. As far back as 2015, and according to Spain's national statistical office, the average price of properties in Jávea rose by 4.2%. The trend has continued, with prices increasing nearly 10 per cent this year. As with the majority of coastal property in Spain, here in Jávea, beach side real estate enjoys the highest valuation per square meter.

More DetailsJávea (Xàbia in Valenciano) is a small, coastal town located in the Alicante province of Valencia region. Hugging the blue Mediterranean waters and the rolling Montgó, this picturesque resort offers a blend of traditional and modern Spanish culture. The old Jávea town is a joy to explore with its narrow, winding streets, Gothic architecture and authentic Spanish markets. Jávea’s rich history dates back to the prehistoric era. Many populations have inhabited the area including Phoenicians, Visigoths, Carthaginians, Moors, Romans, and Greeks. The influence of these cultures is evident in the rich and diverse gastronomy which caters for a variety of tastes and pleasure. Many of the quaint restaurants and eateries offer a buzz of culture and conversation, and some offer views of the sea and bustling promenade nightlife. Being the most eastern point in mainland Spain, and about a 10 km drive from the national Road and Highway we are more secluded than many of the usual busy tourist resorts along the Costa Blanca. Jávea offers a year-round fun and entertaining lifestyle, while at the same time allowing residents to retreat to a more relaxed and quiet atmosphere in the surrounding residential areas. We are a truly multi-cultural destination with many of our residents hailing from Britain, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal, Italy, Poland, and Germany. According to a recent census, nearly half the population are Central and Northern Europeans, with British, Dutch and Germans among the top residents and visitors.
